Her proficiency in culturally competent communications, integrative marketing and public engagement spans the fields of healthcare, public affairs, business development, education, product branding, arts and entertainment and construction.

Pauline’s more than three decade career in public relations, event management, marketing and promotion has earned her recognition from her peers, including the Excellence in PR Award from InSide PR. The Network Journal Magazine named her one of the 25 Influential Black Women in 2002.

Before launching her own firm, Pauline enjoyed a successful career in journalism as an associate producer for NBC News and a programmer for NBC Network Radio. She helped shape CBS News communications strategy in their press department, and was an account supervisor at The Rowland Company.

Pauline serves on the Board of Directors of the Medgar Evers College Education Foundation. She is an active member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, Women Builders Council, NAACP and Weeksville Society.

Pauline is a graduate of Brooklyn College and holds a certificate in film and television production from the Television Arts & Science Academy.

Pauline is a proud Geechie/Gullah woman, born in Beaufort County, South Carolina. She’s a fun loving person who works hard to get the job done. And equally, she loves to have fun after a hard day of work, knowing that she has taken on the day’s challenges with dignity. Barfield lives with her husband of 45 years, who shares her love of jazz, and their son Jameel – one of her employees – who she hopes will succeed her at the firm.
